HistoryBridge Productions Announces Summer Professional Development Scholarships for Staff Members

[St. Louis, MO - May 10, 2024] — HistoryBridge Productions LLC is pleased to announce that three of our staff members have been awarded scholarships to attend summer professional development programs across the country. These opportunities will not only enrich their knowledge and will enhance the quality of education they provide to students in their respective classrooms but also to the content we provide to our audience through podcasts and videos.

Sarah French will attend the Midway Institute for Teachers aboard the USS Midway in San Diego, California. Sarah will participate in the seminar titled "World War II In The Pacific: Clash Of Nations And Perspectives." The vision for the seminar is to share with teachers the best current scholarship and multiple perspectives on topics related to World War II in the Pacific and Asia.

Furthermore, Brian Geldmacher will embark on a journey to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, to attend the Bob and Marion Wilson Teacher's Institute. Brian will engage in the seminar titled "Evolving Perspectives on American Identity: Resistance, Revolution, and Reform (1607–1870)." This opportunity promises to further broaden his understanding of American history and its impact on contemporary society.

Additionally, both Jason Rude and Brian Geldmacher will have the privilege of attending the "Civil War East Traveling Workshop" organized by Founding Forward of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This immersive experience takes place on battlefields in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and will deepen their knowledge of one of the most significant chapters in American history and provide valuable insights into teaching methodologies. They will have the opportunity to learn from the esteemed Arch Hunter, another HistoryBridge contributor.

Finally, Jason Rude continues his fellowship with the Ford’s Theater National Oratory Fellowship. Jason recently returned from Washington D.C. where he participated in the fellowship’s annual spring retreat. This year was particularly special as Mr. Rude was chosen to speak at the closing of the oratory performance on the stage at Ford’s Theater. Jason will return to Washington D.C. again in the fall to participate in planning and professional development at the fellowship’s fall pretreat in August.

The team at HistoryBridge Productions LLC extends its heartfelt congratulations to Sarah, Brian, and Jason and wishes them a rewarding and enriching experience during their summer professional development programs. We believe this showcases their dedication to professional development and commitment to enhancing historical education. These scholarships underscore our commitment to fostering continuous learning and excellence among our staff.
